So the email I received after buying the game says the links are active for 7 days. What happens then? Am I on my own? How can I get the game again if I reinstall my OS and don't make any backups, apart from buying it again?

I also bought two copies, one for my friend. Do I get another set of links to give him? Or should I give him my links? What's the difference between buying one or two copies of the game?

Actually, having used fastspring a few times, its their way of doing business to limit your download time to seven days.

You should be able to get your links re-activated by contacting kittylambda and asking for another download link (hey Calvin, I'm just talking about my previous experience, tell us if I'm wrong).

For the multiple games, I really don't know how it's working.

But now, I'm sure you do make backups aren't you? J

I saved the installer, you can put it on a USB drive or whatev and use it as many times as you want. =)

I sure will make some backups now:-) It's just a bit unlike all the other online distribution services I've used so far, so I had to make things clear to myself.

Thank you, this is correct. As long as I'm in business I'll have your original order information and will gladly reactivate the links for you if needed. One nice thing though about their being no DRM is that you can always make backup copies without needing any sort of activation. So just like with a cartridge it can still be there for you in 20 years (maybe I will be, too! Let's hope so-- but maybe not!)

But ! If you want your game to be "play-able" in twenty years, make sure you have backup copy of all your current libs: maybe SDL 2.3 won't be backward compatible with SDL 1.2...

Haha, I like that you estimate SDL will only be up to version 2.3 in 20 years, seems about right... =)

Hi Fulbert, you bet! Since you bought two copies please feel free to share the links with one friend, as long as they know not to give them out again. There is no DRM!
