Hey,
I think that the castle is now part of strange.. that's why you cant get out. This becomes a little clearer later in the game, I think. You can warp to the castle, but you cant leave the castle. And the castle is now empty except for .. you'll see.

well the blanket is not quite a sub plot, keep it in mind.
