I love this game. It's the first I've spent more than 24 hours playing in a loooong time. My only real suggestion is some form of active quest list. I had a busy day yesterday (In real life) and now I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing in Real Texas. I was thinking about it and the smoothest way I can see this working in the game (aside from a flat out list that takes up inventory space) is an inner-monologue. Maybe if you've got several active quests the inner-monologue is randomized.

What was I doing again?
I should try and find Carringtons(?) teddy
I wonder what this key the wolf gave me unlocks.
This swan dress sure is pretty.
Didn't Xartan give me this emerald key?
That jester is one strange fellow, I should find his next clue.
That ghost was really worried about it's personal appearance, jeez.

As you'll see I've made those possible lines vague enough to hint that the player should go speak to the person that gave them or is related to an item they're carrying or someone they've spoken too. :)

I think that's a really great idea. There are a lot of things to keep track of in this game and it can be difficult to remember it all. This problem is compounded when you lose progress due to a crash as I just did. :(

I'll just quote psysal :)

Zelda and Ultima 6 didn't have a quest log either. I found it better to have the game running in one window and just update a text file in another window with all my notes. Way better than the typical quest log which usually doesn't let you add your own notes.

Maybe add a simple notepad feature so people can make their own quest notes?

I'm having this issue myself now since I took about a week off and now can't exactly recall what I'm supposed to be doing now. :?

Hey Pai, the notepad thing is a fantastic suggestion, somebody else made this earlier as well. It would be really really hard to add to the game at this point so I likely will not, but future games will probably have it (as long as it makes sense.) Ideally this would be not just a "raw notepad" replacement but integrated into the game somehow, for instance you could attach notes to specific items or whatnot.

Item: A small notepad with pencil and eraser attached with string. It can hold a couple pages worth of notes before you have to start erasing things to make room. =)
