Greetings i played the trial, and it was a bug-free event.
Very good game, i love the gameplay, and graphics are cool.
I have had no bugs what so ever, only one that was when i tryed the 1600x1200 resolution setting , on a 17 inch monitor , then it would not start, then i config it with tool to 1024x768 and its fine again.
I have winxp sp2, nvidia card, amd cpu, latest drivers,
no bugs what so ever, i managed to visit 3 different systems within a server universe, no problems what so ever.
I am in europe, so when i arrive at new planet it is alittle laggy when loading but other then that perfect.

The laggy feeling at planets is actually caused by the vegetation generation, if you turn off vegetation the loading at planets will be substantially quicker. =) But then there won't be cool plants and stuff...

Exactly, the loading is not that bad, i have a fairly decent rig.
I have another question though.
I am looking to buy a widescreen 20 inch probably.
Is it possible to play VtV widescreen?
Say like 1680x1050? I remember trying 1600x1200 in the games menu and when i exit and execute the exe ,
i get an error, it says: Can't initialize OpenGL.
I am looking forward on your input on this

The option tool you suplied in the VtV folder is very usefull when this happened, cause i can change the res without having to go ingame. Excellent!

I think that I may have actually never tested the 1600x1200, just assumed that it worked, so there might be a good reason it doesn't. Widescreen might be possible, too, but isn't currently supported. It's one of those features that might be fairly easy to put in, or it might be really difficult (due to changes to the camera code) I just don't know =)
