I'm impressed by the scope of this project both in terms of the exhaustive gameplay elements and also the technique of autogenerating game worlds from what is essentially (and I'm just guessing here) some kind of random seed.

My question is this - is there any plan to incorporate the world generator tools into the client software or even release them as stand alone tools? I'd love to be able to experiment with different universes created from different seeds...

I have considered this, but right now there isn't a plan to have it made as a standalone tool. The main reason for this, is... well maybe that I hadn't considered it too much? Hmn. =)

It's not a bad idea, actually. It would require a fair amount of work to make it suitable as an end user tool. I might rather provide it with a web interface, however there are obvious limitations to this.

Anyhow, it's something that I should definitely consider more closely, and I will!

heh, world editor would be a good idea. it would give even more fun to create a world and then play on it and share with other players.
