There has been a new version on the way for a little while now. Mostly, this contains bugfixes and minor improvements but there will also be some graphical enhancements.
The main addition is the "rpg monster battler". You might have noticed that when you enter a ruins site right now, there is really nothing else to do than explore and collect the treasure. In the next version, there are monsters that pop up and you have to fight them. Since I'm implementing this right now, I can't say exactly how this will work other than it will depend mainly on your weapon and armour. It will be really simple but certainly will encourage you to have better weapons and armour. Higher level ruins will have stronger monsters.
I'm also toying with two user suggestions, one that the ship takes damage when it hits things (terrain, buildings, other ships) and the other that you can purchase mining colonies from companies. I like both of these ideas, but it will require some experimentation (in the first case) and a little bit of time (in the second).
Sorry for such a long delay for any real updates! I've really worked on server stability and so forth. The server did go down yesterday (back up now) but I think that was because of stuff I was doing on this end, i.e. it's not a server bug.
